Read, Learn, and Apply Colour Psychology for Style and Interior Design
If you're passionate about colour, style, and interior design, this is for you.
Many of us have a collection of books on colour, style, and psychology gathering dust on our shelves. We start each new book with excitement, but somewhere along the way, we lose momentum, and the book ends up unfinished. We often read only the chapters that catch our attention, and then the book finds its place alongside other half-read books.
Occasionally, a book stays in our memory and is picked up again for reference. However, too many of these "forgotten" books remain untouched, gathering dust unless they are regularly dusted off.
It’s a missed opportunity. There are so many fascinating books on colour psychology, style, and interior design that deserve closer study. Instead, they sit there, often forgotten. I started to wonder how I could make time to dive deeper into these books, rather than continuously buying new ones on similar topics that end up facing the same fate.
After visiting a colour-focused museum in London, I came home with five new books. My arms a little tired from carrying them, I decided no more new books would be purchased for a while. Surprisingly, I’ve kept my promise! Not a single new book has been added to my collection. I’ve even stopped buying my favourite magazines about interior design, style, and colour trends. Although I sometimes catch myself eyeing one, a firm self-talk puts it back on the shelf.
By revisiting these insightful books on colour, psychology, and interior style, I’m learning how to apply colour more effectively in design and making better use of my collection.
